reaOSC

reaOSC alpha 10 :

Control REAPER via OSC messages…

Setting

OSC messages will be sent by default on port 8000 of your local host, and received on port 9000 from your local host

To modify this setting, simply edit the ‘settings.xml’ file located in data folder of the reaOSC’s installation directory (usually : C:\Program Files (x86)\reaOSC\data)

Be careful when you’re setting the device Name, if you input an incorrect Name the app will not run and windows will severely splash a failure notification on your screen (Yes, I’ll try to handle this properly in the future builds).

Quick test

  • Install reaOSC using reaOSC_xxx_setup.exe (at the and of the installation process it should prompt you to run reaOSC, say yes, depending on your Windows security settings Windows could ask you to authorize the app to connect to your local network, say yes again).
  • Run Reaper
  • Go to Options > Preferences… > Control Surfaces
  • Add a new OSC control Surface and set it as shown in the following screen-shot (reaOSC.ReaperOsc is zipped within the download package)

The Download provided here is not a supported version, use it at your own risk, blablabla… ;)

  1. I am pumped by the looks of this… I’d be happy to beta test any iOS betas or release candidates.
